The lateral crustal movements in the region correlate with process of mountain building on different hierarchical levels. On the basis of morphostructural analysis 6 orogenic stages are distinguished in the Middle Asia and Eastern Kazakhstan.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The description of Central-Asian mountain belt history since Late Proterozoic is given.
