Его геоморфологическими последствиями явились формирование складчатых морфоструктур в пределах Синайской микроплиты, одновременное развитие морфоструктур растяжения Красного моря, распад Тетиса на два бассейна, движение Африки на север и ее дрейф на восток от Срединно-океанического хребта, а также резко выраженный широтный сдвиг в пределах последнего. На протяжении кайнозоя и в современную эпоху формируются дугообразные разрывные морфоструктуры субширотного простирания. Накладываясь на структуры Пелусийской зоны, они создают сложную сеть блоковых структур, испытывающих разнонаправленные движения. Побережье юго-востока Средиземного моря контролируется серией коротких малоамплитудных сейсмогенерирующих разломов.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The divergent cluster of faults – zone of large submeridional Pelusian arc, breaks Sinai microplate. Large sinistral displacement of this zone caused a set of geomorphic effects: formation of folded morphostructures of the Sinai microplate, development of morphostructures of the Red Sea rift, decay of the Thetis into two basins, northward movement of Africa, its Eastern drift from Mid-Atlantic ridge, and articulate latitudinal sheer of the latter. During Cenozoic and recent epochs arc-like fault morphostructures were formed. Being superimposed on Pelusian zone structures, they form complicated network of block morphostructures, which undergoes movements of different directions.
