Освещаются принципы составления и содержание легенды геоморфологической карты м-ба 1:1000000, разработанной ВСЕГЕИ. Излагаются преимущества построения легенды по принципу картирования поверхностей ограничения форм рельефа с характеристикой их генезиса, морфографии и возраста. Указывается, что предлагаемая легенда в принципе применима для составления как обзорных так и средне- и крупномасштабных карт.
The article deals with the principles of compilation and contents of the legend of a 1:1.000.000 geomorphological map, prepared by the Аll-Union Scientific Research Geological Institute. The author discusses the advantages of a legend compiled according to the principle of mapping restriction surfaces of landforms with characterization of their genesis, morphology, and age. In principle, the suggested legend may be used for the compilation of both review maps and maps of medium and large scales.
