Водохранилища можно разделить на три группы: а) равнинные — с напором порядка 15—25 м и площадью зеркала не менее нескольких сотен км2; б) водохранилища в горных районах, с высотой напора на гидроузле порядка 200 м и выше; в) промежуточная группа с напором 50—100 м, к которой следует отнести крупные водохранилища в пределах плоскогорий, сооружаемые в глубоко врезанных речных долинах, а также на плоскогорьях с пересеченным рельефом и в предгорьях.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The intensity and scale of exogenic processes in large storage reservoirs differ depending on their type. The storage reservoirs may be divided into three groups: a) plain storage reservoirs — with the hydrostatic head of about 15—25 m and the area of water table not less than several hundreds of square kilometers; b) storage reservoirs in mountain regions with the hydrostatic head of about 200 m and more; c) an intermediate group with the head of 50—100 m, which includes large storage reservoirs within plateaux constructed in deeply cut river valleys, as well as on plateaux with dissected relief and in submontane regions.Considered are the regime and volumes of sedimentation in storage reservoirs of different groups.
