Trends of erosion in the Europe during the second half of the XX century
Abstract
Long-term data on river runoff, stream load, gullies growth and other direct and indirect characteristics of erosion were used for evaluation of trends of hydro-denudation in the Europe during the second half of the XX century. Regions with different trends were distinguished. The human activity appears to be the main factor of the denudation intensity changes. The climatic impact manifested in the runoff changes plays the minor role.
