Abstract

The role of river mouth is great. As a rule, most important transport junctions are situated here – ports; many valuable fish breeds are pass the mouth on their way to spawning; river sediments receive to coast zone and compose beaches on sea-side places, etc. Deltas – are natural storages of organic natural fossils such as oil, coal, gas. Not so much scientists know details of complicated natural processes in river mouths as Vladislav N. Korotayev does. In his monograph “Geomorphological sketches of the mouth and coastal systems” he summarized results of his longstanding studies.
