The discussion is dedicated to fundamental concepts of system geomorphologic analysis: geomorphic system, its structure, limits, hierarchy, stability, self-organization; interrelation of geomorphic systems with each other and externals; the organization of geomorphic systems.

The impact of ecologic-geomorphologic conditions of territory on its recreational development reveals significantly during the changes of land-use type. When territory loses its agricultural or other economical functions the recreation is developing as a form of environmental management and promotes maintenance of country places.

Of the different geomorphologic processes in the Ol'khon region sustained human impact the eolian and fluvial processes have undergone the most significant changes. The manifestations of these changes are large masses of moving sands, erosion gully-like forms, and wash-ins.

Relief of the town's territory has a significant influence on people's estimation of their "familiar urban area", its boundaries, and the distance to important objects of city's infrastracture they are ready to cover afoot or by different transport.

Within the inherited valleys of the Moscow, Yausa and Neglinnaya rivers the amount of distorted buildings is two times more than in the interstream area. The underground water level and the thickness of anthropogenic sediments are 3^1 m higher in the valleys. These data together with some other geologic-geomorphologic features indicate an increased instability of valley relief and its substratum.

The compiling of the ecologic-geomorphologic map of Northern Eurasia (scale 1:8000000) aims to gather and evaluate in general corresponding materials for this territory. The ecologic-geomorphologic map of the East-European Plain central regions (scale 1:1000000) is designed largely for prognosis. The rise of hazardous situations depends not only of number of processes but mostly of their intensity. Three types of regions are distinguished: with low, middle and high degree of ecologic-geomorphologic hazards. The intensiveness of different hazardous processes is estimated according to 4-balls scale.

According to the records of the Conference, the prospects of DEM models development lie in the increase of models definition, using radiolocation and laser land survey, the improvements of traditional methods, such as automatization of drawing chequered light and shade on maps and plans. GIS are used in the systems of landslides risk assessment, in the investigations of extreme ecologic-geomorphologic situations.

The territory of the Ural neotectonic structural zone consists of several areas with highly different recent geomor-phologic regimes. For the mountainous regimes of the North and Polar Ural the typical are high values of neotectonic 4* 83 uplift, deep and dense erosion dissection, high gradients of elevations, glacial landforms. The regimes of plain type are characterized by insignificant dissection under condition of low uplift; they occupy Pai-Khoi, the eastern margin of the Ural and Transural plateau. The intermediate regimes have intermediate values of neotectonic uplift, elevations, and erosion dissection, but high intensity of karst and landslides, and large amount of woodland; they are situated on the west slope of the North and Middle Ural and in the NW part of the South Ural. The Ural is usually classified as a single mountain morphostructural type with subtypes. We suppose there should be three or at least two mor-phostructural types: the properly mountain, the transitional, and platform plain types of morphostructure within the Ural neotectonic region (the last two may possibly be merged into one transitional type). These types manifest the different stages or different intensity of the Ural's rejuvenation (or regeneration). The distribution of recent geomor-phologic regimes is governed not only by the Hercynian meridional tectonic structures but by the latitude climatic zones and neotectonic features as well.

The stratification of recent morphogenesis in the Central Asian mountain belt and its Holocene changes are shown. The relation of spatial and time aspects of morphogenesis serves as a foundation for the morphosculpture analysis. The latter is complemented by characteristic of geomorphologic regimes and leading relief formation mechanisms.

The concept of geotechnomorphosystem and its organization is discussed on the basis of the notions of geotech-nomorphogenesis, integral geosurface, and geotechnomorphogenic space.

Morphostructural analysis of the NW Caucasus is fulfilled from the position of the plate tectonics. The regions of concordant and inverse relief are determined. The hierarchy of morphostructures is represented by regionahzation suggested. The main orographic units have heterogenic character; the role of the transversal faults in their formation is shown. Some of the faults bound the whole mountain system.
