Abstract

V.A. Obruchev studied relief of deserts and eolian relief forming under new tectonics development. Up to him new tectonics corresponded with those earth crust structures which formed under very young movements took place in the end of Tertiary and first part of Quaternary period. Last researches in various countries found out that these movements greatly spread and play significant role in present-day relief forming. In his opinion, separating them from Alpine tectogenesis cycle is necessary because in some cases they appear more or less hard in those Earth’s regions where structures were formed by more early cycles – Hercynian or even Caledonian, and Alpine cycle were absent or poor.
